The Cornwall Sensory Garden is finally open! Earlier in the year The Mad Dog Agility group very kindly made a donation to put towards creating the sensory garden for our Hayle centre and after a lot of hard work, the area is now officially in use. Staff member Loz Payne put her thinking cap on and has designed a special place, planting many different types of herbs and dog friendly plants which have been kindly donated to us from Hayle Plants. A ball pool, sand pit, hiding towers for treats and lots of different textures have been set into the ground to provide a stimulating area to keep the animals' minds busy while they are in our care.
Centre manager Louise Clarke says "The new sensory garden is going to make such a difference for the dogs in our care to have somewhere to enrich their senses with all the different textures and smells and be able to chill out and have quiet time. Another good example of NAWT's 'we never stop caring' moto!"
