Would you like to volunteer for your local animal charity shop?
This January, we are excited to launch our new campaign ‘Take me and place me’, an initiative to help spread the word about volunteering in our shops.
Our charity shops play a vital role in providing funds that helps towards caring for the homeless and abandoned pets in our centres.
Did you know, we have three high street charity shops in the South of England, based in Watford, Woburn Sands, and Hayle. We are also very happy to announce that there are two new shops on the way, opening in Leighton Buzzard and Hemel Hempstead, very soon!
In preparation for the big launch, we need your help in spreading the word about our volunteering opportunities, as we rely on the local community to help us run our shops.
Here are three ways that you can show your support:
- BOOKMARKS – We have placed hundreds of bookmarks in our centres and shops with a message saying, ‘Take me and Place me’. We challenge you to find these bookmarks, and place them in your local areas such as doctor’s surgeries, coffee shops, nursery schools, hairdressers, churches, libraries, shops, etc. The aim is to reach as many people as possible with the hope of generating interest to come and join our team.
- SOCIAL MEDIA – Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram and share our posts to help spread the message.
- WORD OF MOUTH – Speak to friends and family about our campaign and let them know we are looking for retail volunteers.
The more people we reach, hopefully the wider our community will grow, and we can welcome more people on board to join our friendly team.
Would you like to become a part of our dedicated team of volunteers and help pets in need? We are looking for people to join both our existing shops and our new upcoming shops. You can find all our volunteering opportunities on our website here: www.nawt.org.uk/get-involved/volunteer/volunteer-vacancies/
Keep an eye out for new roles that will be appearing very soon as we open our two new shops.
