Meet Chessie!

Chessie is a beautiful 6-year-old rabbit with a strong personality and a soft spot for the simple things in life—fresh veggies, outdoor time, and peace and quiet.

Chessie can be a little nervous at times and will need a patient, understanding home that’s willing to put in the time to build her trust. She's not the cuddly type and isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she enjoys human company on her own terms and shows her appreciation in subtle, sweet ways.

Due to her past, Chessie hasn’t had many opportunities to socialise with other rabbits, but she’s now ready to find a home where she can be gently bonded with a neutered companion. She could thrive with the right bunny buddy and some careful introductions.

She’s also happy to share her space with calm, respectful cats, dogs, and sensible children who understand that she prefers interaction from the ground, not from being scooped up.
